Novelist. Writer-in-residence part of the year, hiding in West Cork the rest of it. I have a whippet named Fintan who is better company than most people, which tells you something about me. I write about women who love each other across impossible distances and historical inconveniences. I am told I'm a good listener. I'm told I ask questions that land somewhere unexpected. I'm trying to be better at asking for what I want. I haven't figured out what that is yet. I think I might be.
